How do I measure my car’s consumption accurately?
Fill the tank completely and reset the trip meter, then after driving a distance fill it again and note the liters added and the distance covered — enter both numbers here.
What is a good fuel consumption figure?
Modern economy cars range between 5 and 7 L/100km, while larger vehicles may exceed 10. Judgement depends on engine size, driving style and road type.
Why are the cost rows hidden?
Cost per kilometer and total cost need the fuel price. Leave the field empty if you only want consumption, or fill it in and the money rows appear automatically.
Can I use units other than kilometers and liters?
The calculator works in km and liters as commonly used in the region. Convert miles to kilometers (×1.609) and US gallons to liters (×3.785) before entering values.
