Sometimes you need the exact span between two dates: a contract period, the time between two events, or subscription days. This tool computes the difference between any two Gregorian dates in days, weeks, months and years with calendar-accurate month lengths, and shows the Hijri equivalent of both dates.
How to use
- Enter the first date in the “From date” field.
- Enter the second date in the “To date” field.
- Enable “Include the last day” if the end date itself should count toward the total.
- The result appears instantly in the table: days, weeks, months and years.
Frequently asked questions
What does “Include the last day” mean?
By default the difference counts full days between the two dates, so one day to the next is 1 day. With this option enabled, one extra day is added so the end date itself is included in the total.
What if the first date is after the second?
The tool swaps them automatically and shows a note about it, so the result is always a positive span between the two dates.
How are months between two dates counted?
Months are counted calendar-wise, not by a fixed average: January 15 to February 14 is exactly one month, and shorter target months (like February) are respected when starting from the 31st.
Are the dates shown in Hijri as well?
Yes, the table shows the Hijri equivalent of both dates using the Umm al-Qura calendar.
